Marketing of our film

For our film, we will use three different types of marketing tactics. We will join with Ice-O-Matic for a business partnership, start an official twitter page for the film, and will create movie posters to promote the film.

Our business partnership with Ice-O-Matic will allow us to reach a wider audience of people and will inform them on a basic point of our film. We will create a 30 second long tv commercial that will air on tv the month before the film is released. The commercial will feature a middle aged couple who own a diner talking about how they are glad that they purchased an Ice-O-Matic ice machine. The husband rifles through the newspaper and points out that a generic ice machine competitor brand was the same type of ice machine that Sharon and other children were killed by. The commercial will cut to a shot of the "evil" ice machine while the couple is talking about the deaths. It will end with a shot of the couple with their ice machine as the film's release date and other details are shown over it.

An official twitter page for our film will allow us to reach out to youth who could be interested in spoof/horror film genre. 37% of twitter users are in our direct target demographic, and marketing to them with a twitter page could really bring in more revenue for our film.

Finally, most successful films have a movie poster, and our film will be no exception. We will have a picture of the icebox, slightly inverted so the icebox is much darker and foreboding. The words "coming soon...." will be at the bottom of it.
